Maggie Collins came to Charlie’s House with a background in political and non-profit services including
major-gift fundraising, political consulting, campaign consulting and government and legislative affairs.
She earned a B.A. in Political Science and Communication Studies at the University of Kansas. She is
also a graduate of the United States Naval War College with a Masters of Arts in National Security and
Strategic Studies. Maggie has served in many levels of government including the United States Senate,
the US Department of Homeland Security and The White House.
After serving in Washington, D.C., Maggie moved to Kansas City where she was the Manager of
Federal Government and Industry Relations at Cerner Corporation. She most recently served as the
Development Director for the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics.
Maggie joined the Charlie’s House Board of Directors in 2009. She currently lives in Lenexa, Kansas with
her husband Tom and their son, Freddy with another baby due in July 2013.
