Matthew Hizer is a senior technical manager at the Department of Energy’s Kansas City National Security Campus, managed by Honeywell. In his role, he leads a team of engineers with mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering backgrounds to develop national security solutions.
A highly experienced national security professional, Hizer previously spent four years in Washington, D.C., most recently as special production advisor to the Office of the Secretary of Defense and to the National Nuclear Security Administration.
Hizer earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received his master’s degree in business administration from Avila University.
Hizer resides in Raymore, Mo. with his wife, Jonelle, and their son, Nolan. Active in the community, he serves on the board of directors of Charlie’s House and coaches youth basketball. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf.
