Rynekah Barbour was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. After completing nursing school at Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma, she married, and moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Rynekah has worked in public health in the areas of food inspection and child care licensing. She has been employed as a child care facilities surveyor at Johnson County Department of Health and Environment since 2005. Prior to that, Rynekah was a staff nurse at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Rynekah has worked with the Education Committee of Charlie’s House since the fall of 2011 and enjoys sharing home safety education with the community. She currently lives in Olathe with her husband, two daughters, and a son.
